On August 21, the Montreal City Council will vote on the “Non partisan resolution of support for a minimum wage of $15 per hour in Quebec by 2019”.

“That the Montreal City Council support the demand for a minimum wage of $15 per hour and that it ask the Government of Quebec to revise the rules governing the minimum wage in order to follow the example of Alberta and Ontario;

That the City of Montreal mandate the Commission for Economic and Social Development to study the means and mechanisms required to implement the $15 per hour minimum wage policy to all contractors, subcontractors, service agreements or offers from the city of Montreal.”
